Hello & Welcome
Hi, I'm Mervyn, and I will be your counsellor or supervisor here at Time2Talk Counselling Services.

Service and Professional History:
I have a background in computer engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance. I then trained in counselling through Ulster University and Queens University, Relate, FASA and Barnardos, helping me find and secure my place within the counselling profession. I first launched Time2Talk in 2004 as a small private practice supporting local people to improve their mental health. I have worked in many different agencies and settings, including being a school counsellor and working within and managing Lifeline, NI's regional Suicide Prevention service, for almost eight years. I've worked within addiction services and with families and children on the edge of care; I've managed and clinically led several trauma-focused services, helping me gain a wide range of skills and experience over the years. In May 2024, I relaunched Time2Talk, taking it full-time, expanding the service to include Clinical Supervision, Child Therapy, Online Therapy, Trauma/EMDR, Couples/Relationship Counselling and Family Counselling/Systemic practice across a wider catchment area to help support people across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond.

The service uses technology to give clients more choice and flexibility. With the ever-increasing and high demand for online supervision and counselling, Time2Talk is well-positioned to offer a convenient and professional service.
